What is a credit union?

A credit union is a not-for-profit, cooperative financial institution formed to permit membership to save, borrow, and obtain financial services. Credit unions are owned by their members cooperatively.

Who may join Blackhawk Community Credit Union?

Our membership eligibility includes all people living, working or attend school in Rock, Walworth, Green, Jefferson, and Dane Counties of Wisconsin.

How does someone join Blackhawk Community Credit Union?

The completion of a simple application and a $5 deposit into a share account is all it takes. This may be done at any one of our branches.

How do I change the address you have on file for me?

So your personal information remains secure, all change of address requests must be made in person at a BHCCU branch or online by logging into Online Banking. In person, you will need to bring proper identification. To save time, you may also want to first print and fill out our Address Change Form.

How do I set up Direct Deposit?

First, provide BHCCU’s Routing Number – 275978048
Then, provide your Account Number:

For deposits to SAVINGS – Use your member number.

For deposits to CHECKING – Look at the bottom of your check for the BHCCU Routing Number and the Check Number (the same number in the top right corner of the check). Your Account Number will be all the remaining numbers, either eight or 13 digits.

Why are my funds not available if I deposited a check into my account?

Under certain circumstances, a temporary “hold” may be placed on a deposited check. Your deposit receipt would indicate if a “hold” was required on a check.

How do I easily view what checks have cleared my account?

You may sign up for FREE Online Banking where you can inquire on all checks that have cleared as well as utilize many other transaction capabilities. If you are not signed up for Online Banking, visit one of our branches or sign up by clicking on the Online Banking tab.

How do I re-order checks?

You can order checks online or you can call 877-585-8777 to order through our check provider.  If you have a legacy checking account, please contact us by phone to ensure you are not charged for the check order.

Where can I find the two digit suffixes that I need to transact on Phone banking?

You can find these two digit suffixes on your statements and they are also located on all receipts you have from completed transactions. The suffix will be in front of the ‘name’ of the account type.

I received my debit card and the PIN number was not with it. When will I receive my PIN?

You will select your PIN when you call the debit card activation number to activate your card.  You can change your PIN at any time by calling 866-985-2273.

I did not receive a PIN with my credit card. How do I get one?

Please call Card Services at 800-779-5555 or you can order one in online banking through the Credit Card tab.

Help! My debit and/or credit card was lost or stolen. What do I do?

Immediately call us to report the loss.

For a lost or stolen debit card, call 866-820-1070 and for fraud on the card call 855-600-7565.

For a lost or stolen credit card, call 800-449-7728 or international at 727-299-2449 (collect call) and for fraud call 855-437-2796.

I need to contact Bill Payment for assistance. Who do I call?

For support issues, please call 866-805-4496.

Help! I forgot my Online Banking Password. What do I do?

Please call 800-779-5555 to have it reset for you.

Your site requires Javascript and my web browser is not setup for Javascript. What do I do?

JavaScript is used in this site, so you must have JavaScript enabled in your browser.

For Internet Explorer: Go to Tools > Internet Options. Select the Security tab on Internet Options. Choose Custom Level. In the dialog box, scroll to Scripting and select Enable. Click OK to close Security Settings, then click OK to close Internet Options.

For Netscape: Go to Tools > Preferences. Select Advanced once Preferences is opened. Select Enable JavaScript for Navigator. Click OK to close.

I received a Security Alert from your site asking if I want to proceed. What do I do?

Our Online Banking and Bill Pay sections of our site are secure. If our latest security certificate has not been downloaded to your PC, you will receive this message. Please click “Yes” to install the secure certificate.
